BRAND IDENTITY + WEBSITE DESIGN

Picturebook, formerly Picturebook Interiors, offer a multitude of services including interior and exterior design, furnishings (curtains, cushions etc) and home staging. They have an extensive wealth of knowledge and experience.

It had been about 18 years since their last logo was created and they had well and truly outgrown the look.

The ideal customer is aged 35 to 65, with the desire to make their space a beautiful place to be. They most likely lead busy lives and care about quality and beautiful aesthetics. They value an expert opinion when making design decisions.

COLOUR PSYCHOLOGY

Picturebook sits within the Summer season (colour psychology) with attributes
such as aspirational, attention to detail, balanced, beautiful, calm, creative, elegant, professional, timeless, understated. 

Because Picturebook specifically want to be friendly, approachable and inclusive the use of black would not be suitable. Instead I have used trusting blue/greens with neutrals to keep things light and fresh. The midnight or peacock is there for when impact is needed. 

For print treatments we can look at gorgeous textures in stock, blind embossing or letterpress – those distinctive details to elevate your brand but keep it timeless.

Photography style will be refined, understated, natural and low contrast.

CREATIVE STRATEGY

TIMELESS

To bring in timeless, think serif fonts, something classic that has longevity and says you have been around for a while and are experienced.

This can also be brought through with quality print materials, textured stocks, letterpress, traditional print methods.

UNDERSTATED

This is reflected through the typography choices, spacing and layout. Again quality print items will back up the understated elegance.

A neutral colour palette assists us in reflecting understated and give us that timeless feel.

DISTINCTIVE

This is brought in through all the delicate details and plenty of elegant spacing but also brought through in traditional, elegant serif font choices. 

Colour selections will also be key in contributing to a refined and elegant approach but with a dark colour for when impact is needed.
