Package pricing helps me to laser focus on your goals and design a truly distinctive project without you or I worrying about the time being spent, or whether will there be additional charges. I do list the scope this covers in the proposal, so there are no surprises. For smaller projects outside of the original scope, I may price these hourly.
Great question! I have been doing this for a long time and what I have found is that if I put all my time and creative energy into coming up with one concept, it is THE best concept suited to your unique brand and business needs. Previously, I would spend additional time coming up with other concepts to present, when in most cases the clients would actually choose the first one that I recommended. For the past three years I have been implementing this with much success and often little to no changes. I do build in some time for tweaks if needed and I 100% want you to leave me with a truly magnetic brand that you love. I have crafted a set of questions that helps me to understand you, your business and dream audience which sets me up for success here and enables me to craft a whole brand so you can see how it will work.
I do require some homework from you, but no, it is not super time consuming. For the best success of the project though, I will need you to be as thorough as possible with my questionnaire. It will be super helpful for you to know your dream audience and business goals, but I will walk you through this process each step of the way so don’t worry if you are not sure about these things yet.
No problem at all, for clients I create a login portal where all our communication and files are stored to cut down on the overwhelm and make for a seamless process. I provide instructions on how to access this and it is as simple as logging into my website online. I also create a variety of file types for various situations to cover off what you may need. No question is a silly question though so please feel free to ask if you are unsure about anything.
I currently work in WordPress for most websites. It is easily scalable and can facilitate and grow with your business. Note this is not WordPress hosted though, as that has certain limitations and I do not recommend using wordpress.com. For ecommerce I like to use Shopify as it is super user-friendly in the back end and has great inbuilt SEO to help your business grow and reach its target audience. This doesn’t mean I can’t tee up other platforms though, so let me know what you are thinking and we can go from there.
Your website is the home for your business online. With so many people turning to the internet to do their shopping / investigation / research into you, it’s necessary to take the time to craft and set this up correctly, so your website represents your business well on mobile, tablet and desktop. I want to design something distinctive for your dream audience and to walk them through your information in a way that connects them to your offer.
I don’t specialise in copywriting, I do provide you with an outline for what copy will be needed to give you a foundation for starting and I can definitely recommend someone if you are needing a hand. We can also discuss what images will be needed, often I can supply these at a reasonable rate or we can discuss a photography shoot if needed to really elevate your business.
I like to give clients full ownership of their site – I won’t hold you hostage for a monthly ransom and charge you an arm and a leg to make changes. I give you the tools to make minor edits yourself, and personalised instruction videos on how to do this. I have found that some host providers were less than satisfactory so I now offer my own hosting and fees are minimal. However your site can be moved to another host provider at any time by you. The website is built in WordPress and I give you the passwords for everything, it is your website and you own it. I am here to help if you prefer though.
As for Shopify, there is a monthly subscription to use this platform, this is paid directly to Shopify. Before we make the site live, it is transferred to you as the owner. You can check out their fee schedule here. We may during the build decide you need some paid apps to further enhance your site, if this is the case I will advise you before committing to them and they will be paid by you each month as the owner.
